One more note that I forgot about...we had to remove 3 euonymous shrubs from
the front of the house during the same period...they were out of the ground
for about a week, in the shade of a honey locust and no sun after 1PM,
watered well and an old plastic shower curtain liner covered on the bottom
1/2 of the root ball (same size as the others). They're fine - the hosta
keeping them company also did almost as well and they had very little dirt
with them...they're foliage is sulking a bit but the E. is doing just super.
