Ipomoea pandurata
Does anyone out there have any plant they know to be Ipomoea pandurata?
The reason I ask is that I am experimenting with several related plants
that form large underground roots (Ipomoea macrorhyza, for one). In some
cases, these large roots can be raised up to form an interesting looking
caudex. This would be kept as a potted plant and hopefully, this would
reduce it chance of becoming established in my garden (however, -20F
winters are quite good at detering all but the hardiest of plants -
unfortunately, ground ivy survives just fine!)
If anyone has this plant or any other type of ipomoea that is tuber
forming, please e-mail me privately if I can arrange a trade.
Thanks,
