Surry Gardens is a big residential nursery in Surry, Maine. I always make a
point of visiting them when I am in the area ( they are about 20 mi from
Mount Desert Island).They have good selection of well grown perennials -
used to be inexpensive compared with my local nurseries (metro Boston) but
aren't any longer. Their mail order business is rather an afterthought - I
got plants from them several times and they were fine. The only problem for
me was that their stuff arrives rather late in the season and their zone
designation is sometimes overly optimistic. Definitely good guys though -
you can order from them with confidence. Sophie
