Different milkweed species have particular ecological requirements.
Some are "weedy", others are more sensitive to environmental
disturbances and thus found in more pristine areas, and still others
are threatened or endangered. So one can't generalize easily.
Perhaps you could rethink your question and formulate it more
precisely so that someone on the list could give you a better
answer.
