The BLM and Montana state lands have some nice, native, green needlegrass
prairies here in Valley county. Check out the Montana Natural Heritage
Program web site for information about Montana. They just completed a
"Biological Survey of a Prairie Landscape in Montana's Glaciated Plains"
that covers this area. The report was completed in cooperation with us.
Check out http://nhp.nris.state.mt.us/reports.htm for an on-line copy of
the report with photographs.

Are there any prairies anyone would suggest in Montana to go see? I
will be on vacation in July in Montana mostly to see the natural sites,
wildlife refuges and National Parks..
thanks
