Voles, Nitrogen, and Plants

Most importantly, I feel that there is a disproportionate number of
"lurkers" on this list -- members who don't actively participate,
but read all of the messages. There's nothing wrong with this at all.

I'm a lurker and a grad student at Northern Illinois University. I've enjoyed reading
everybody's email, especially about the burning process, and was happy to see Henry
Howe's work mentioned (he came to NIU to speak this semester). My research is
investigating the role of meadow voles and nitrogen in regulating the species diversity of
plants in tallgrass prairie. I'm working at Shabbona Lake State Park in the same site as
Marcy Gordon.
