I have come across two books that might be of interest to the group,
in addition to the Ladd / Oberle book.

One is "Grasses - An Identification Guide" by Laura Brown. It lists a large
number of grasses and gives the identifying characteristics. It is a
paperback with B&W line drawing of each grass.

The second seems more like a botany text, but is interesting none the less.
It is "The Vegitation of Wisconsin" by John T. Curtis for the Wisconsin
area folks. It is broken up into chanpters on each of the vegitation
types / areas, such as savannas, wetlands and the various types and reqions
of forest.

Enjoy,
Doug
