Tina and Group,
Thank you Tina for taking on a listserv and the folk at Mallorn for the Prairie List, but....
I don't care which listserv survives this discussion, as long as all the topics are open to discussion and...the survivor has a digest version! This really helps busy people subscribing to a busy list.

Make sure you write a short descriptive Subject line so that those not interested in the topic can just hit the delete key.
Someone wrote to me asking if he could read the archived messages in the prairies@egroups.com web page w/o being subscribed. I am looking into this today.
