Paspalum digitalis

I'd guess most of you haven't had to deal with Paspalum, warm-season perennial grass, but just in case anyone has some sage advice from any similar problems, I thought I'd run this by you.

We seeded mixed grass/forbs in early July and have had good rains so the planting is looking good, but the Dallis Grass, P. digitalis, is getting pretty thick.  We tried a 4oz/acre rate of Plateau on a test plot, and it's looking a little stressed after a week, but some of the forbs look rough too.  It's about tall enough that we can mow it high, but I'd sure rather get rid of it or at least set it back so the natives have a better chance and I don't have to worry about it next season.  But...don't want to over-stress the forbs at such a young stage?

Any thoughts...

Thanks!
