Honeysuckle is our kudzu here in southern IL . Our Natural Heritage
biologists recommend Round Up in November and December. The honeysuckle is
still active and virtually all prairie species are dormant. I've had
success burning it late winter or early spring and hand pulling the exposed
runners while the soil is still moist.

Goats do a pretty good job too.
