In trying to establish some production plots of
local seed of prairie species does anyone have knowledge on chemicals that work
well on controlling weeds (mostly annual) with little or no damage to the
desired species? This would be in a direct seed situation with a
monoculture or single species in their own separate plot. Preplant, post
plant and or post emergence. For plants such as :
pale purple coneflower
showy sunflower
oxeye false sunflower
rattlesnake master
liatris spp.
compass plant
butterfly milkweed
others...?
Has anyone tried planting roundhead bushclover in an area
treated with treflan?
