I'm a college student. For one of my classes a partner and I are supposed
to write a grant preposal on the short-term and long-term effects of
prairie restoration. Our plan for now is to have a restored prairie control
burned and then see the popultaion sizes of small mammals change before and
after the burn. What is the best way to inventory the animals? What is
the best way to control burn an area? What size of an area is a good size
to burn? Any information would be great.
(We don't really have an area to work with, it's just an ideal situation.)
