I'm not sure if this is the right forum to talk about file formats,
but I'd be happy to talk with people about them personally. Just
drop me a line to <lindsey@mallorn.com>.

Regarding PDF files, it may not be a solution for you. Adobe (a software
company that makes publishing software) has developed a standardized
transport medium for formatted documents. The software to read these
files (called PDF files) is free, but the software to create them (at
least under Windows) is usually only available commercially.

Better options include writing to HTML, PostScript, saving as a text
file, etc. But it all depends on your computer platform (PC/Mac/Unix)
and what operating system you use (i.e. Windows 3.11/95/98/NT, MacOS,
Linux, ...)

Like I said, drop me a line if you have detailed questions about how
to save files. If you do, let me know if any of the terms above sound
familiar or relevant to your setup.

If there's enough demand or requests, I can post a summary.

Thanks,

Chris
