Large Prairies in Eastern Kansas and SW Missouri?

I am planning a cross country bicycle tour next summer and I noticed
that the route I'm taking runs very close to an area of Eastern Kansas
and SW Missouri where I've heard there are a few large tallgrass
prairies. I believe one is managed by the TNC, another by the Forest
Service, and the third is a prairie and historical part on the site of
the Laura Engles Wilder (sp?) cabin, owned by Bill Kurtis of the New
Explorers. If anyone could give me some general information about these
prairies, as well as their precise location, I would greatly appreciate it.

"I believe in bicycles. I believe in riding my bike to the store,
riding to work, riding for fun, fitness and adventure--road bikes,
mountain bikes, single-speeds--you name it. As long as it has two
wheels and a human motor, I'm on it. And I truly believe, deep down in
my easily misdirected soul, that the world would be a better place if
more people rode bicycles."
