Re: Large Prairies in Eastern Kansas and SW Missouri?

If not too far off your route, one area you will want to check out is the
KATY Trail State Park in MO.  It is a rails to trails project. The route
from Sedalia to Clinton runs through prairie country. The section from
Calhoun to Clinton is particularly good for a wide variety of forbs. The
area is managed by the Department of Natural Resources, State Parks.
