There are several publications on the web that cover weed control in prairie
plantings. One that gives a lot of good information (even without all of
the unnecessary pretty graphics!) is put out by the Wisconsin Department of
Natural Resources http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/er/invasive/intro.htm
The Prairie Enthusiasts website http://www.prairie.pressenter.com is a good
place to start looking for this kind of material.
I would also like to second the recommendation of The Tallgrass Restoration
Handbook by Packard is an excellent hardcopy source.

Do any publications exist that cover weed control in prairie plantings? I
have noticed a number of questions about particular weed problems in
prairie plantings, and wonder if there is a publication that addresses such
problems. There are also the questions about weed problems on native
prairies, where one might be dealing with particularly invasive plants. I
would also include woody species as "weedy" in some prairie situations.
Any references would be appreciated.
