I've been told it's OK for now, so I'll try not to abuse
the opportunity. :-) I've put three auctions up on
www.ebay.com , for a pound each of short prairie grasses,
tall grasses, and a wildflower mix. Each is slight variation
of www.stockseed.com's mixtures, as my prairie consultant
customized for my planting. To find the auctions, just
search for "prairie seed". They're all at $1 with no bidders.
I watched the seed auction areas of eBay for a while before
I did this. You do see a few people harvesting wild
plant seed and selling small quantities there. If there's
a better place to haggle for seed on the web, I'd love
to hear about it.
Now where can I get some kudzu rootlets... I heard there's
a patch in Connecticut that's surviving the winters. :-)
