Re: Increase in Seed Prices (OUCH!)

For thouse of you that are thinking of buying seeds this fall, beware
and buy soon.  The price of many prairie seeds has increased as much as
400% since last spring; i.e.,Big Bluestem, which was around $7.00/pound
may rise as high as $24.00/pound.  If you are going to buy, shop around
carefully, because some good deals can still be found, though rare try
grain, seed & feed companies).  I got the last 50 pounds of tallgrass
seed  in the Des Moines area for $12.00/pound and was happy to find it.
