Re: Pristine bibliography


Geoff- you know about Josiah Greggs' The Commerce of the Prairie  1830-40's.
Eakin Press, Tx A&M Press, Univ. of  Nebraska, Univ. of Iowa would be good places to start. Also check with the College in Canyon. Biographies of Coronado and the like would give some glimpses into the short, mid grass country. Maybe one of the New Mexico university press. Tx Historical Assoc. and LBJ Library in Austin are additional resources.
