Jim i was taken yesterday by pete giffford to visit loueen peters in
farmersville. she has to sell her 20 ac. unplowed prairie land. is this
the tract you are referring to?
she has on it a 3 - 4 ft single-stemmed herb with clusters of tiny white
flowers at the top which are just beginning to bloom. do you know what that
is?
she also has 'chickenspike' which my floras say is Sphenoclea zeylanica; is
that right, or has she got the name wrong?
the 'orchid' she is so proud of is, i believe, Astragalus crassicarpa.
well, the seed capsules she showed certainly are.
