Re: Seed Collecting


Lilium michiganense is a multicycle germinator. Here is what works for
me:

Dry store the seeds at 70 degrees for two months.

Mix the dry stored seed with moist vermiculite in a plastic bag and keep
them at 70 degrees in the dark for nintey days, during which time small
bulblets will form.

Move the bulblets and vermiculite to 40 degrees for ninety days.

Lastly, plant the bulblets out at 70 degrees. The first leaf should
appear within two weeks.
