Re: Tiller Purchase

I have a couple of questions about tillers, as well. I remember from this
and past discussions that most feel a Troybilt Pony is the way to go. A new
Pony is a bit more than I feel I should spend right now... I know of a used
Horse for $700 - it might be pretty old, the current owner bought it used
and doesn't know much about what came before. There is also a new Troybilt
for about the same price that is rear tine, with counter-rotating tines.
It's black, rather than red, and the salesman says they are heavier and
somewhat tougher models. He says the counter-rotation gives more power for
breaking up hard ground. Well my plot size is pretty much fixed, and it's
already been worked, but of course I do have those cover crops to plow
under...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Beth
