Re: Tiller Purchase
BCS tillers is the only way to go. No belts direct drive only. Made in Italy
and a lifetime warranty on the drive train. You can convert it in the winter
to a snow blower with a attachment. Has 4 speeds and one reverse, I have a
14.5 horse tiller and tills to a depth of 10 inches this one is in the
3000.00 dollar range you can buy a 8hp for about 1500.00 and a 5hp for
1000.00 dollars all rear tine of course with direct drive. If the Troybilt
is the Caddillac of tillers than the Bcs is the Mercedes of tillers. Faster
tine speed breaks up even clay to a nice fine soil . No belts mean no power
loss to tines which can be as much as 50 percent when using belts. They have
a web site and dealers are listed there. Just my 2 cents worth. andrew
