As a former small engine mech. I would say the Troy is the way
to go for the money.It's right there with the BCS with it's only drawback being
the belt but it's not uncommon to only replace the belt every 10 years if
kept adjusted(takes about 5 minutes)you lose no speed or power through a
properly adjusted belt.The Troy's tranny is all gear drive and there are lots of
attachments for them.As for motor selection go with the Kolhers or Briggs motors
stay away from the Tecumseh.I would also buy the horse because it is the best
built of all the Troys the smaller ones are a little cheaper made.Just my 2
