Maybe the 815 Checkon is split-prone

I don't doubt that some seeds have a tendancy to split. I'm planning on trying the 815 Checkon this year because it did so amazingly well for Larry before it split, but the fact that it split has me worried. One of my pumpkin mentors says that he heard that other fruit grown from the 815 last year had some really bad Dill lines, even at the 400 and 500 pound size, and the 1190 had about three of them, I guess, so I'm worried. The 1190 DID hold together PAST 900 pounds though, so . . .
I'm thinking that maybe the 815 is a seed that should be grown with lower amounts of fertilizer on a smaller plant maybe. What do you all think?
