I have been using misters for several years. I have come up with a nice system that can be used continually all day without over watering the soil. E-mail me privately and I'll give you the details.

Can anyone recommend an overhead sprinkler that will mist the air during the heat of the day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., for cooling the pumpkin vines and leaves? I dont want to drench and wilt the plants in the hot sunshine, but would rather broadcast a low volume, less than 10 gallon per hour, over a wide area. Note that I spoke to two technicians at Rainbird. The first referred me to another companys 800 line that was out of service. The second technician didnt have a clue and kept suggesting 4 gallon per minute impulse sprinklers or heavy drenching lawn sprinklers. I would be most appreciative if someone could list brand names, model numbers, flow rates, and how youve applied the technique.<<<<
