Sarnia Weighoff
Unforutnately Sarnia will not have a GPC weigh-off this year. The site that
could boast to be home to some of the world's top growers will not have a
weigh-off this year. Some of the key people who were running the
organization had jobs that have taken them out of town.
Geographically speaking, Port Elgin is the closest weigh-off site. Although
they are an independent site, they are a world class organization and
weigh-off site. I would expect that Port Elgin will see an influx this year
of some big growers. They will have a busy weigh-off this year as I would
expect that the number of exhibitors will increase. I predict that they
will be the site to beat for the best Top 10 average weight.
This is a challenge for the Ottawa-St. Lawrence (OSLGA) growers. Let's not
make it easy for them.
