Plant size
Hi Everyone
Last year I read several posts regarding plant size. I read that several
growers had grown very large pumpkins on plants four to five hundred square
feet in area. I believe two of the growers were Gary Burke and Deborah
Haegens.
I have a few questions for the list members
I was wondering how many growers on the list will purposely try to keep a
plant pruned to this size in the upcoming season?
How many pumpkins were on the plants that produced the Burke 1092 and the
Haegens 900+ pound pumpkins? And any other large pumkin/small plant
combination.
What do you believe the best plant size/ number of pumpkins combination to be?
What size do you usually grow your plants to, and why?
