RE: 2nd Request Re: Water Temperature

Thank you all for the great response.  I have double checked my tap water temperature and it is 60 degrees.  I will start my heated water experiment at 80 degrees and see what happens.  Because I live near the coast our average summertime high temps are in the low to mid 80 degree range.  We don't have many days over 90 degrees and less than 7 days over the 100 degree mark.  Our low temps are in the mid 50's to mid 60's on average.  By drip watering my wood enclosed raised beds with the warmed water just before night fall, I hope to keep my soil temperature up during our cool evenings, the black plastic mulch I use should also help keep the warmth in the soil for a long period of time.  I have noticed how much faster my cucurbits grow when subjected to warmer days and nights, I hope this experiment will prove to mimic this warm weather growth trend. I will keep this list posted on the results.
