Hello, Now that it is the beginning of the season, I wanted to remind everyone about our site and some of the timely features it offers. If you are not interested in a blatant advertisement, read no further. BigPumpkins.com gives anyone the ability to submit a Grower Diary. This easy process allows you to submit entries throughout the season and share what you’re doing with others. An optional image can be easily uploaded along with your text entry if you are fortunate enough to have a digital image of your plant. I would again like to stress that this process is extremely easy. Novice growers are especially welcome. What better way to get feedback on what your doing… There are currently some great diaries on the site, so far there is even a Checkon 815 seedling being documented. To get to this feature, just click on Grower Diary from the homepage menu. For people that just want to share snapshots of their patch
with others without giving away all of your secrets, the Photo Gallery is for
you. By using our exclusive Photo
Upload Wizard technology you can submit your photo to our server. In addition,
you can adjust the brightness as well as rotate the image if necessary (This is
really cool!). Finally, you simply describe the image and it is then ready to be
shared. This is a great feature if you have a question about something and
wanted to present the list with an image to comment on. Zip it up to our Photo
Gallery and then just reference the image in your post to the list server. Start uploading, or view the
photo’s of others by choosing Photo Gallery from the homepage
menu. Finally, we are extremely please to announce that we are the
official website of the N.E.P.G.A. This section of the site contains news and
information about the organization that will be updated throughout the year. One
of the best features of the new affiliation is that we are able to offer
articles that have appeared in prior issues of the fine N.E.P.G.A. Newsletter. A
lot of these articles are very timely. The one entitled “Don't Be a Riverboat Gambler With
Your Seeds!” By Wayne Hackney is most entertaining and insightful. This feature
can be found by selecting N.E.P.G.A. from the homepage
menu. Get ready for Pumpkin Cam! (but that is another post all together) Thanks, John Deary http://www.bigpumpkins.com/ |
