Amy,
Not only does it have to do with PSI but just as importantly is the
gallons per minute (GPM) that your pump can put out. Most sprinklers list a
GPM at a specific PSI. You can get a rough estimate of your GPM by turning
your faucet on and recording how long it takes to fill a 5 gallon bucket. As
your approach the maximum flow rate then the your pressure will drop off
rapidly.
