What I want to know is, should I take these critters (yellow centipede or scorpion? green millipede? short fat cousin?) to someone to ID and let them sell me some high-priced product, or should I just whack away at them? I acted real slowly on the short fat sluggish one but finally sent him to his final resting place because he looked more like larva than, say, a beneficial nematode or an earthworm. PS: Lee, I know they like the water because I've seen pics of the punkin boat races back east. But I don't think they can actually swim, the way a tortoise or a cormorant can, or we'd see them at the Galapagos Islands. Back to the patch!
