Cliff,
Except for my avid curiosity, I have no background in designing
experiments, although I have designed many, and quite successfully in
that I learned a lot.
Rocky's idea is elegant in its simplicity, and it should teach us
something on the nature vs nurture debate as well as on whether
latitudes, elevations, preparations and care are more or less important
than we previously imagined.
Let's do it Rocky's way next year, and if we need more info and have
enough volunteers with enough space and time we'll do it your way in
2003.
