Wayne, I used a weak solution and soaked the seeds for
24hrs or more, don't remember the strength or exact time. Was just
playing. Didn't have time or room to grow any out. I talked alittle
about it with Mike B., don't know if he tried anything. I think you could
apply it, in dilute strength, to the rooting areas. The seeds had thumb
size areas of fiberous roots. It would be nice to see how they grow out
over time. The chemical is made to develope rooting action, if applied to
roots it might increase the feeder root numbers. I would not apply it to
the leaves, don't know what would happen. If you are feeding on the ground
it might work. I would only use it for the first half the season, long
enough to get all the roots you want. You could try applying it to the
buried stems, might get roots in new areas. I'd use the weakest powder
direct on the stems as you bury them, treating them like cuttings.
