Wayne, I used a weak solution and soaked the seeds
for 24hrs or more, don't remember the strength or exact time. Was just
playing. Didn't have time or room to grow any out. I talked
alittle about it with Mike B., don't know if he tried anything. I
think you could apply it, in dilute strength, to the rooting areas.
The seeds had thumb size areas of fiberous roots. It would be nice to
see how they grow out over time. The chemical is made to develope
rooting action, if applied to roots it might increase the feeder root
numbers. I would not apply it to the leaves, don't know what would
happen. If you are feeding on the ground it might work. I would
only use it for the first half the season, long enough to get all the roots
you want. You could try applying it to the buried stems, might get
roots in new areas. I'd use the weakest powder direct on the stems as
you bury them, treating them like cuttings.
