Bob Troy is allot better than this than I but I do believe bob said that the
"air hole" that you refer to was where the first leaf would be. So in short
hold the seed vertical with the "air hole" pointing to your chest with both
flat sides right and left then look past the seed and you will see the
direction of the main vine. The main vine 9 out of 10 times goes in the
opposite direction of the hole. I hope this helps but as I said This is
second hand info it would really be in your interest to contact a more
experienced grower for a second opinion. Hope this helps a little...
