RE: hoop house
I've seen an excellent product that can do the job as a portable hoop house.
It may be more economical to make your own, but you should
see if Charlie's Greenhouse sells this portable (Remay?) greenhouse. I will
have to find it.
If I was going to make one... I would just buy 3 x 10 foot PVC pipe, some
PVC greenhouse clips, 6 x 3 foot rebar and 4-6 mil plastic.
Space the rebar apart so the PVC pipe can bow when installed. Throw the
plastic over the three bow PVC pipes so you have room to
bury the plastic at ground level. Then just clip on the PVC clips and your
ready to go..
Don't forget to work up your soil prior to building your greenhouse. Also,
be sure to lay down a 3 x 3 foot sheet of porous black
plastic to heat the soil around your plant.
