Tilling in leaves as compost.

As the temps warmed up over the last two days the 5 to 6 inches of snow
melted away. I got busy today tilling in the surface compaost that I put on
last fall (~ 2 feet of maple leaves). I had to remove the top 6 inches (of 12
inches), till them in, add back the top 6 inches and till another couple of
times.

Being April 11th, I've got at least 7 weeks, possibly eight, before I will
set the plants outside. Normally (6th to the 9th of June).

The beds are a mixed, wet mess of leaves and dirt now. Is there anything I
should add, like more dirt, fertilizer, compost inhibitor, etc., that would
aid the process?

Thanks for your comments,

Dave
