trying to locate a pumpkin variety raised by my grandparents in
Nicholasville,Ky several years ago. This search has led me to your site. If you can in
anyway help me I would surely appreciate it. The pumpkin I am searching for is a
tannish brown outer skin, and when rubbed it gets very shiny, weight is
anywhere between 15 and 40 lbs or so. It has ribs and can be a variety of shapes. The
most different look of this pumpkin is that it has a bright reddish orange
flesh inside, which gives pies a much brighter colorful color than any pumpkins
that you can now find. Was told by one that it might be a Jardale, but dont
believe it is. Was raised in central Kentucky by lots of farmers years ago.
