I'm using the misters on the foliage to prevent the serious wilting I get in
Central California. Typical afternoon in summer here is over 100 F.
Supposedly heat stress will keep a plant from growing a decent sized fruit.
Humidity is very low here in summer so I don't have to worry about
overwatering foliage as much. Misting creates evaporative cooling effect on
leaves. Using really fine misters will theoretically cool the air instead of
the leaves directly but I've heard it's best to get some water on leaves
anyway in a hot situation. My misters leak a little which gets some of the
leaves wet too.
