I live just outside Atlanta GA. Last year was my first serious year
growing giant pumpkins but still managed a couple over 300 pounds. Not
bad when you consider I grew them in the dead of the Atlanta summer. 

I am going to be direct seeding one this weekend. I'm starting early to
hopefully avoid some of summer's heat. Maybe I can get this one a little
bigger as a result. Anybody else out there growing pumpkins down here?

Buy the way, I'd like to see the 1996 WPC results when you get them. I
should have a 309.5 listed.
