So How Does Your Garden Grow?

This is my second year on the list...like alot of other folks. I just
purchased a packet of supposedly "prizewinner hybrid" seeds that promise 300
pound Goliaths from either Home Depot or Lowe's. You gotta
chuckle...because 300 pounds is "nada" compared to what some growers on this
list have produced. Don't know if they'll work here in Charlotte (due to
high temperatures), but it gives me something to do and my husband, who I
lovingly refer to as Mr. Hancock, gets to watch all the different varieties
of ESPN that now exist on our cable system...without my opposition. Last
year, my husband threatened many, many times to weed-whack the patch.
Sometimes I would come home from work and he'd have the weed-whacker
striking a pose out in the old patch. Geez...it that doesn't cause a grower
to break out in a rash of hives...
I write too much; what I write has very little useful content. Every once
in a while there's a joke or a pumpkin recipe. So, you can see that there's
not much intensity here...you won't learn anything...and it's probably best
if you trash my posts. But...I'm still out there...still reading...I've
just been dormant for awhile. Right now...I've had a little too much
pepperoni pizza and I'm avoiding the HealthRider as long as possible.
There's good people on this list...you will learn much. I still have a
pumpkin in my living room which I harvest last October. If it had not been
for the guidance of this group, this pumpkin would not be here.
