Re: Who's Out There

Hello, My name is Timothy Aker from Roanoke, Virginia and I joined this list
early in 1996 so I've been here a while.I've been growing giant pumpkins
since 1985.My best last year was 500lbs. I also had many in the 200lb. to
400lb. range.I also like to do intricate carving on the faces at
Halloween.When I joined Ray Waterman's Pumpkin Confederation, I was so glad
to see that there were so many others who shared my "sickness"  for growing
these monsters.:)Then, when I came on line I found the list and found out
there even more of us with "pumpkinitus" .:)Although I'm an old hand at
these big orange things, I found this list, or more accurately the people on
it, to have been a great help to me last year.
And as we are getting ready to embark on the 1997 growing adventure,I'd like
to wish all of the "newbies" great luck this year,and to you "oldtimers" I
hope you better your best pumpkin this year!
Who knows what this year will hold for us!
