   You must check with your local Ag. rep. All states are different. I can
tell you from commercial experience, I have had mixed results and sometimes
poor results from all the available ones ( there aren't many registered). I
am going back to planting through 4 foot black plastic with a mulch laying
machine and a mulch puller. Disposal is a pain, but it is the best weed
control in the row. Last year I hand and machine weeded, but around the
plants you have to hand hoe (FUN). With luck we will have some good
herbicides in 98 or 99. Command has some very serious problems and there is a
time release version coming out next year that may be better. The ones
available now are extremely expensive and work fair at the very best. If you
have a small patch ( 1 or 2 acres) I would hand and machine weed.
