BUGS!
OK,
I am starting the questions before I plant and am in over my head.
Here is the first one. We lost many pumpkins last year to a beetle that
the DOA told us was a box elder beetle, they only like pumpkins. They
eat out the roots and stuff. Last year I had to take heavy bug spray and
really soak everything. Is there anything I can do before I plant to the
dirt to rid the little suckers before they start. The Dept. of Ag. says
they are dormant in the ground until the warmth of the sun wakes them
up. Any help would be great appreciated!
