Judging from the posts, we have now passed from the winter doldrums/depression
phase here in Canada/US to the anticipation phase. The most recent post was
about getting your pumpkin to the weigh-off. I would predict that some of the
complaining, bitching and moaning will be absent from now until the time comes
when some of us realize the pumpkin we are growing does not meet expectations.
The whining will recur followed by talk about too much fertilizer, watering
too much, pruning not enough or improperly and splits etc. Then will come
discussions about next year and what seed should I grow, how can I improve my
soil etc, etc. What a group. Very predictable. We are now in the anticipation
phase.......sort of like the night before XMAS. I love it.
Where are you Pumpkinwitch. Let's hear your philosophy about all of this.
