Well I just got my soil test back, and I'm busy making my adjustments.
Can anyone tell me just how much effect adding my well aged cow manure
will have on the PH? Why I am questioning this is because my soil test
was done before manure was added. I am adding my ammendments based on the
manure not being there. I am hoping that I won't overdose anything here.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
My guess is that it won't affect the pH much...MOO DOO away!!!!!!!!!!!
Brian Kitney and I finished putting on 30 yards of Composted cow manure, tea
leaf compost and organic humus dredgings from a local pond. Brian is the plant
manager for a big compost plant owned by Nestles. Brian mixed the concoction
in equal parts with a big bucket loader and then ran it through a screener,
loaded it on a dump truck while I was on the other end shoveling. Have you
ever shoveled out 2 triaxle dumptruck loads by hand? It was a memorable
experience and took all day. We are adding a little organic matter to our pure
sand raised beds to help hold the fertilizer. After sitting on my butt all
winter , that was quite a wake up call. Where's the Motrin?
