Straw

Howdy Folks!
Question:
In the fall, I had about 6"- 9" to of cow manure applied to my patch
but there was a great deal of straw mixed in with this material. Now
I have a layer of straw covering everything. Should I work this into
the ground, or should I remove the straw before I bring the tractor
through?
Basically what I am asking is.... will the straw be a beneficial
orgainic component, or does it cause problems?
