Hi Group,
Can anyone of you tell me if any of the top 10 pumpkins of all time were
direct start?. The reason I ask is that, of all my attempts, the direct
start always out-performs the transplants. In fact, the transplants
always seem to be indifferent performers, even from the same seed stock.
A point of note, is that all precautions i.r.o hardening off and zero
root disturbance were taken. Any comments from the group will be greatly
appreciated and help me plan next summers strategy.
