I hear all of you germinating seeds in zip lock baggies. I just
put my seeds into a peat pot and put a lamp with a 60 watt bulb above
it. Is my method not as good, is there any real advantage to
starting in a damp zip lock baggie over just in the peat pot?

PM,
Stick a thermometer in your soil. If it is 80 to 85, you will be o.k. If
seeds didn't sprout in soil, we would have a tough time putting food on the
table.
